Peewee A welcomes new coach Kalley Armstrong to team
The Devilettes Peewee A team are proud to announce an addition to the coaching staff - Kalley Armstrong

Kalley Armstrong graduated from Harvard University in 2015. The starting center for the Crimson her junior and senior year, Kalley led the team in game winning goals for two seasons. Her junior year she earned the ECAC Best Defensive Forward Award as well as All-Ivy Second Team accolades. At the conclusion of the 2013 season, Kalley suffered a serious injury and spent the 2013-2014 year in her native Toronto, Ontario in full recovery. She returned to Harvard as captain of the team for the 2014-2015 season and helped lead them to the NCAA Frozen Four National Championship game. That same year, the second nationally ranked Crimson made program history winning the Women’s Beanpot title, the Ivy-League Championship, the ECAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship and finishing as National Championship Runner-Up. At the conclusion of the season, Kalley was awarded the John Dooley Award, given to the player who best combines sportsmanship, enthusiasm and devotion to the Harvard women’s hockey team.

After graduating from Harvard, Kalley wanted to extend her hockey career into coaching. She was hired as an assistant coach with the Western Women’s Hockey program in 2016. This fall, Kalley will be returning to Western University as an assistant coach while continuing her studies in Western’s Graduate program of Anthropology. Her goal is to one day use her passion for the game to teach hockey in Indigenous communities.

Prior to Harvard, Kalley played four seasons with the Toronto Aeros captaining the Junior team in her final season and winning both the PWHL League Championship and the Provincial Championship.

Kalley comes from a background of strong hockey roots. Her grandfather, George Armstrong, played 21 seasons in the NHL. He served as captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs for 12 years, leading the team to 4 Stanley Cups.
