Atom A Competitive Update
Welcome to the Atom A 2020/2021 Season my name is Bryan Flagel and I will be the Head Coach for the season.  This will be my sixth season coaching with the Devilettes. Previous years coaching include 2 years as head coach novice house league, 2 Years assistant coach Atom A & Atom B, and last year as head coach of novice competitive along with assistant Coaching on the Peewee B.

By following the Hockey Canada guidelines for skill to system coaching, my goal is to create a competitive and fun environment. I anticipate that the girls will come to the rink every practice and game with an effort that an Atom A level demands. Along with the coaching staff (to be decided and announced at a later date) we will focus on developing the players' individual skills while teaching them the key aspects of the game.

As many of you are aware, this season will be far from the normal. the London Devilettes and OWHA have mandated that there are to be no tryouts this fall, as a way to move forward coaches have been instructed to pick our teams from the registration list provided to us by the association. As you can imagine this isn’t an easy task and considerations are being made the best we can. I have been in constant contact with many coaches, board members and others to create a fair and complete player roster. In the next few days I will be submitting this list to the London Devilette board for their approval and notifying parents in a personal email before making the list public. As coaches we appreciate your patience and understanding while we try to work through the issues, and ultimately get the girls back on the ice where they belong.

If you have questions about this years format or how hockey will look. Please contact the London Devilettes competitive director, Scot Chandler as we don’t want the wrong information to be spread. If you have questions or concerns with this years Atom A team please feel free to contact me directly.

Regards

Bryan Flagel
