White Wins Gold in Wilmot
At the Kyla Kowalik Memorial Tournament for the 2nd year in a row, Bantam White has won the title with a 3-1 win in the final vs Cambridge.

This year required a lot of clutch play as the team won game 1, tied game 2, lost game 3 thus needed a big win in game 4 to get to the final and did it.  Then in the final, against the team that beat them earlier (Cambridge), they came together as a team and saw 7 different players get points in a 3-1 win.  No one player got 2 points, just a complete team effort.

In the tournament a total of 8 players had a goal, 8 had an assist, resulting in a total of 11 different players (on a 14 player roster) getting at least one point at some point in the 5 games played.  Plus a shutout in one game for our goalie without which the team wouldn't have made the final.

Amazing tournament girls, way to go!

Tim Hortons Timbits Hockey Program-THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN.:
The Timbits Hockey and Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player. Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Canadian Hockey League (CHL), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) games to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
