THE FIRECRACKERS LIGHT IT UP IN ST THOMAS...
The Devilettes Bantam Red Firecrackers competed in the St. Thomas Panthers on the Prowl Tournament over the December 4-6 weekend. The competition included the Ilderton Jets, South County, Chatham Outlaws, and two Burlington teams. The Firecrackers won game one 5-1 over the Jets, followed by a 3-1 loss to a fast and tenacious Chatham team. A 5-1 win over South County set the team up against the Burlington Blaze on the Sunday morning semi. The team came together for a 2-0 victory which matched us with the undefeated Chatham team for the final. The team pulled together for a 2-1 victory. Every player contributed to the successful weekend. Congratulations Emily G, Pam, Emily O, Rebecca D, Julia, Talia, Sophie, Ella, Emma, Rebecca K, Sam, Kayla, Lily and goalie Taylor. Cally, despite injury, cheered the team on to victory! Well done ladies and a big thank you to all the parents and team staff for a great hockey weekend!
