Durham West Finalists
Congratulations to the Bantam Orange Team who won the Silver Medal in the Durham West Lightning Tournament. The tournament was held November 23-25th at the Ajax Community Centre.
Despite having only 10 skaters for the weekend the team won 2 hard fought games against Whitby(1-0) and Leaside (5-0) while dropping a close one to the Kingston Ice Wolves. (4-2 EN)
After falling behind 2-0 in the Semi Final to a strong Nepean team, the Devilettes bounced back to score 4 straight goals to win the game 4-3 setting up a rematch with the Whitby Sharks.
With the game tied 0-0 going into the third period the Sharks were able to take advantage of some tired girls and scored the lone goal of the game to win 1-0.
The coaching staff are super proud of the effort the team gave all weekend and look forward to riding the momentum throughout the season.
