U21 HL Hockey starts soon!
Welcome back to hockey! It is different, it has some restrictions but it is still hockey!
** You either play on Tuesday Oct 20 or Thursday Oct 22! ** Jerseys are not in yet so please bring a light and a dark jersey and your own socks, for now.
The way things are structured this year is that we have two halves ... Extended Group A and Extended Group B. These two halves will not see each other on the ice at all.
Within each Extended Group, there are 2 Groups (A1, A2 and B1, B2). Basically each of these groups has about 20 skaters and we will do a series of best of 5-games between now and the end of December. After a 'team' wins 3 games, we will re-shuffle the lineups and then start another 5-game series. Though we have to roster 'teams' this is really only on paper. A coach will reach out to you in the next day or so to let you know what Group you will be in so that you can check out your schedule.
We will reach out soon to all Goalies and explain how all of this effects you. There are 3 goalies in each of the 2 Extended Groups. All 3 Goalies in Extended Group A play for GroupA1 and Group A2. In Extended Group B, goalies play for both B1 and B2. No player including goalies can cross from one Extended Group to the other unless they quarantine for 14-days (as we have been told to date).
Schedule:
Trent Fieldhouse has completed the schedule right up to the end of the year.
There will be some alterations about the actual games themselves which we will go through with everyone soon.
So that it is easy for planning your studies or jobs ... your weekday time will either be a Tuesday at Argyle (Group B1 & B2) or on Thursday at Argyle (Group A1 & A2) until Christmas. Game times will be 8pm or 9pm.
We also have ice on Sundays at Western Fair. The Groups will rotate between the ice times ... 5:45pm, 6:45pm, 730pm & 830pm.
We do NOT know what hockey will be like in January ... it could continue in these bubbles, it could become the standard 6 team league we usually have ... or if Covid-19 forces more restrictions, it could be paused.
Within each Group, there are 2 'teams' and here is the list of Coaches ... they will reach out to you soon.
