League Plan and update
Just wanted to make sure some info posted:
Blackout dates - during the half ice season we will not have our regular ice times on Nov 19th and Dec 3rd. Those days tournaments have our ice. When those dates get closer if Devilettes has any ice we will try to access it for this group.
Gameplay on half ice:
When we play games on half ice, only 4 or 5 teams will have games. The 5th team that is "out" on any weekend will rotate through the order. That 5th team will send players to all 4 teams. Coaches will advise who to which team. If you are ever unsure what team, come for 11am Saturday and we can adjust. The goal is to have the ice used as efficient as possible while ensuring maximum playing time for the kids. We will have 2 half ice games going per hour. Even with this change we don't quite have 2 full lines per game, so tons of ice for the kids. We will be using the boards across centre ice.
Gameplay when full ice after mid Jan:
Still one team a week will not be in games. This team sitting will get a full ice practice to themselves. So once every 5 weeks your team will not play an official game. Coaches choice if they would like to invite players from the earlier games to stay and scrimmage. Black out dates in the new year: Jan 14th and Feb 4th (Devilettes tournament anyways).
Tuesday practices:
As you see one team a week will have 5pm. That practice will be shared with a U11 team. Similar to the weekend games what teams gets this will rotate through the order.
