After an impressive playoff run, the London JRs came up just short in the gold medal PWHL Final 4 Championship Game, falling to Whitby 2 to 1. London had upset the heavily favoured #1 ranked Whitby team 3-2 in the first game of the Final 4 but couldn’t repeat the effort in the weekend finale. They also upset the perennial powerhouse Mississauga Chiefs 4 to 3, scoring as the buzzer sounded to push the game into overtime. All games played in the Final 4 were decided by 1 goal.

Going into the PW playoffs as the #6 seed, few were
suggesting that the London team had the firepower necessary to make it to the
Gold Medal game. After sweeping KW
Rangers 3 games to none, they upset the very strong #3 seed Durham West Lightening
3 games to 1.
Congratulations to all the girls and the coaching staff on a
great season of hockey. Next up,
Provincials.
