Hocktoberfest 2014 never seen the London Devilettes coming as some on lookers were overheard this weekend. That was an understatement as the girls let everyone watching see what they are made of. Stellar goal tending, strong defence and stellar goal scoring all transpired into an astounding 17 goals/for and 2 goals/against as well as nods of approval from all who noticed
On Friday morning, the Devilettes played against Honeybaked and won in dominant fashion 7-1. Later that evening they faced Aurora Panthers and surprised them with a 3 - 0 shutout. The next morning they faced a very physical Oshawa Lady Generals and pulled a 2 - 0 shutout. Rounding out the schedule that afternoon was Little Caesars and rocked it 5 - 0.
On to the semi-finals on sunday morning, the devilettes faced a re-energized Honeybaked only to show them where the Devilettes wanted to be with a 6-0 shutout. With no looking back the devilettes took the ice against the Aurora Panthers who were out for revenge. But with solid play making and superior goal tending the Devilettes handed it to them and won gold in a 6 - 1 final.
