Devilettes for their Second Place finish in the Gold Division of the Stoney
Creek University Showcase!
The ladies finished their round robin pool with a record of 2 wins and 1 overtime loss, resulting in a second place finish in their division. The march towards the finals saw the team defeat for the first time ever, the Toronto Aero’s 2-1, the Minnesota Jr. Blades 3-2 in an exciting shootout, and Limoilou from Quebec 6-4 in the semi-finals before reaching the finals against Chicago Mission. This marked the first time a London team has ever gone this far in the tournament.
The ladies played a spirited game in the finals, but fell to Chicago 5-1. The team should be extremely proud of the way they played this past weekend.
