Merry Christmas Atom BB !!!
Twas the night before Christmas, the whole scene was set
Not a player would be shooting a puck in the net
The sticks all stacked by the locker room with care
All ready for our opponents who soon would be there
Devilette fans nestled all snug in their beds
With visions of Provincials danced in their heads
And the coaches at home planning to win the big cup
They will have to wait to see which team shows up
When up on the roof there arose such a clatter
The girls ran from the dressing room to see what’s the matter
Its Santa at Sports Park to watch a game on rink two
But much to his surprise the opponent was not new !
The lights shining bright on the fresh sheet of ice
Gave way to a scene that was really quite nice
When what to his sleep blurry eyes should appear
A bunch of young Devilettes dressed up in their gear
With speedy young players so lively & quick
Determined to score and impress Old St Nick
Santa called to his forwards, his goalie, his D
Go home to your beds or they'll be nothing under your tree
With Coaches & Players & Parents out the door
They said, no more Chatham, or Sarnia or even Lakeshore
Get off of the rink, get out of your gear
Go home , get some rest because Christmas is here
Time to move on, Santa said to his Team
There's a big stink in the next town and a rink that needs cleaned
With one final wink Santa left for the sleigh
I’ll be back to see tryouts that end before May
He went up in his ride & to the Team blew his whistle
Its late in the 3rd girls and shot off like a missile
His Bells were a ringing but I still heard him blurt
Merry Christmas to all but please wash those shirts !!
