Congratulations to the Red Rockets who won the Atom HL League Championship by defeating the Black Hawks 1-0 in a shootout on Saturday April 1.
What a fitting end to a fantastic Atom HL season with the 1st and 2nd place teams battling in the final. It was end to end action the entire game which turned out to be a true goaltending dual between Sophie Smith of the Black Hawks and Chelsea Claypole of the Red Rockets.
It took a shootout to decide the Championship. The final penalty shot by Tatum Watson of the Red Rockets finally beat one of these 2 terrific goalies who were truly the stars of the game.
The coaching team of the Red Rockets are extremely proud of our team for their playoff success. But most of all we are all extremely happy to have had this terrific group of young ladies to coach for the 2016-2017 season.
Congratulations to the Black Hawks for being the regular season champions and having a great season!
Congratulations to both the Purple Penguins and White Fangs for also having great seasons as well.
