London Devilette Tournament Info
Hi teams, a few things to go over.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, looking forward to seeing your teams play once again!

1)      A team representative must register your team at the Tournament Headquarters prior to your first game, the tournament headquarters is located at the Western Fair Sports Centre.  To register you will need your OWHA roster and the hard copies of any Player Pick-up forms.

2)      To clarify a common question regarding the schedule.  The “Arena” section of the schedule  lists the arena you are playing at and then the pad; “WFHARV” is the Western Fair Sports Centre on the Harvey’s pad.  Western Fair has four pads named after sponsors of those pads (London City Chrysler, Wastell, Harvey’s and Tony’s).  “KINSA” is obviously Kinsmen arena, A pad.  In addition to games at these two arena’s games are also being played at Carling, Argyle, Nichols, and Stronach.  Addresses and Google maps for these arena’s can be found under the ”Tournament Venues” section.

3)      If you haven’t already reviewed them the 2014 Tournament Rules and Schedule can be found at WWW.LondonDevilettes.ca under the Tournament tab.

4)      Attention all Peewee AA, Peewee A, Atom BB/B and Atom A teams please note: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am Games at Kinsmen and Carling, arenas will open at 6:30 am.  Please plan accordingly.

5)      Dressing rooms are not locked, to obtain keys at any of the arenas you’ll need to turn in keys to the arena staff.  For Western Fair, keys can be picked up at Guest Services to the right of the main entrance.

6)      Scores for each game will be posted immediately following the game and are available through the Devilette website and twitter.

7)      Remember, games can start up to 20 minutes early including Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals.  If your unsure as to whether your game is starting early just ask an Arena Captain who will be wearing a Tournament Volunteer vest.  Games starting at 10 am on Friday, 7:00 am on either Saturday or Sunday are NOT subject to a potential 20 minute early start but games thereafter are.  Follow-us on Twitter at LDGHATournament for updates on arena timing information (are we running early? late? etc).  All Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final games have buffer ice to accommodate for Overtime games, there is a high likelihood that these games will start early.

8)      All player rosters should now be entered on line; the on-line registrations are also used for  game sheets labels.  You can add players to your roster provided you have a corresponding absence from your OWHA roster up to a maximum of three players however not after the tournament starts.  To add these players you must fax in Player Pick-up Form which is available through your association to the following fax number 519-936-2268 no later that February 3, 2014.

9)      A common question is what happens if a team doesn't make it in due to poor weather.  In short, our policy is to reschedule, delay and if possible juggle pools so teams can get their games in.  We have to address these on a case by case basis as we don’t know if 2 teams are effected or 70 teams are effected; for games that can't run we will score them as a 0-0 tie.

10)  The Tournament office is located at the Western Fair Sports Centre and we can be reached during tournament hours at 519-438-7203 ext 387 should you have any questions.  Occasionally teams will try to contact me at home during the tournament, the chances or reaching me there are poor as I’m typically at the arena all weekend.

Best of luck to all teams!!!
