COACHES BIOS

Cassidy Martin
Like most, she fell in love with the game at a young age. Cass played competitive boys and girls hockey throughout her childhood in Alberta. She played four years in the Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) for the Calgary Bruins where she captained the team. She was recruited to play for St.Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where she played four years in the CIS. In her third year as assistant captain helped led the team to the CIS National Championship tournament. After graduating, she returned to Alberta and was named assistant coach for the Southside Athletic Club Minor Midget AAA boys team. This past season, Cass coached London Devilettes Minor Bantam A girls team. Cass is committed to developing girls hockey in the London area, she currently coaches at Snipe Academy of London and runs girls development programs and Indigenous youth hockey camps with Armstrong Hockey. She is looking forward to this upcoming season.

Kalley Armstrong

Kalley played four years of NCAA Division 1 hockey for Harvard University between 2010-2015. She captained the team in her senior year and helped the Crimson to win the 2015 Ivy League Championship, the 2015 ECAC Season Championship, the 2015 ECAC Tournament Championship, the 2015 Beanpot Championship. That year the team finished as the 2015 Frozen Four National Championship Runner-Up. As a junior she was selected to the All-Ivy League Second Team and named the ECAC Best Defensive Forward. Kalley suffered a severe concussion at the conclusion of her junior season in 2013 and after recovering a year later and returning to play for the Crimson in 2014, she decided to retire from hockey and pursue coaching. Prior to going to Harvard, Kalley played four years with the Toronto Aeros, in her final year as captain the team won the PWHL Championship and the Provincial Championship. Kalley has coached at multiple levels including the London Devilettes Bantam A Minor team for the 2019-2020 season, Team Ontario in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) in 2018 and for the Western Women's Hockey Team as an assistant coach in 2017. Kalley currently owns Armstrong Hockey, a hockey development school based out of London, Ontario.

Let us begin by stating how excited we are to be given the opportunity to coach the Midget AA team, and to contribute to the growth and development of London Girls hockey through a high-performance program.
We have been committed to implementing a positive, structured and competitive girl’s hockey program with the Bantam A Minor team this current year and have demonstrated varying levels of success in our coaching careers both inside and outside of the organization.

The Timbits Hockey and Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player.
