Update from London Devilettes Board of Directors on Red Control
Dear Devilette Families,

The LDGHA Board of Directors has met and decided that we are going to continue the season this week. We are prepared to adhere to the new restrictions in the Red zone with a modified schedule This new schedule will be shared with coaches who will then inform each of their teams by Monday.

We want to thank our families for your patience as we work through this and for your continued adherence to the guidelines as they continuously evolve. It is more important than ever to ensure all London Devilette families are compliant with these restrictions.

Please review the Red Zone restrictions below and these will also be reviewed by coaches.

  • Maximum of 10 participants and 2 coaches/instructors or trainers on an ice pad.

  • Arena dressing rooms are now closed as per the regulations under the red level. This means that seats will be set-up in the lobby areas for participants to put on and take off skates. All participants will be required to come dressed except for skates.

  • No Games or scrimmages are permitted – practice/instruction only

  • One parent/guardian is allowed for participants under the age of 18 to watch from the designated spectator viewing area.

  • While on the ice and in the arena the participants must maintain a physical distance of 2 meters from each other.

  • Megaphones/microphones must be used for instruction – no shouting

  • All groups are required to be pre-screened before entering the arena and provide contact information for contact tracing purposes. We already take care of this in our current protocols so nothing new is required.

  • All other protocols such as health assessments remain in place.

 Yours in hockey,

LDGHA Board of Directors

Tim Hortons Timbits Hockey Program-THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN.:
The Timbits Hockey and Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player. Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Canadian Hockey League (CHL), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) games to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
