2023 LDGHA Annual General Meeting Notice (AGM)
In accordance with Section 10.01 of the LDGHA By Laws, members of the London Devilettes Girls Hockey Association are invited to the Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday October 2, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Kinsmen Arena in Multi-Purpose-Room (MPR) #3.

Meeting Business: The business transacted at the annual meeting shall include:

1. Receipt of the agenda;
2. Receipt and approval of the minutes of the previous annual and subsequent special meetings;
3. Consideration of the financial statements;
4. Report of the auditor or person who has been appointed to conduct a review engagement;
5. Reappointment or new appointment of the auditor or a person to conduct a review engagement for the coming year;
6. Report of the President and Executive members;
7. Election of Directors and Executive;
8. Such other or special business as may be set out in the notice of meeting.

*No other item of business shall be included on the agenda for annual meeting unless a Member’s proposal has been emailed to Claudia Santagapita-Speiran -Secretary prior to Monday, September 18, 2023, at 11:59 pm, in accordance with the Act, so that such item of new business can be included in the notice of annual meeting.

Board Directorship Positions:

There are 2 Executive Positions open, Vice President and Secretary (Re-Election). To qualify for these 2 Executive Roles, the candidate must be a member in good standing and must also be a current member of the London Devilettes Board of Directors.

There are 9 Director at Large positions that will be open for nomination. Any member in good standing within the LDGHA and 18 years of age or older at the time of the AGM, may be nominated for a Director at Large.

Assignment of voted in Director(s) positions and re-arrangement of current members roles is at the discretion of the President of the LDGHA. More Directorship positions may come open based on current Directors applying for Executive positions.

Open Director at Large Positions:
Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Re-Election) , Competitive Director, Director of Development, Assistant Registrar; Director of Sponsorship & Marketing, House League Director #1-U7-U11; House League Director #2-U13-U22; Director of Policy , Procedures and Governance; and Director of IT , Website and Graphic Design


What LD is looking for in NEW Board Members:

The Board of Directors is looking for professional, enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for girls’ hockey! We want to encourage new members join our Board to help support our organization; please be assured - you do NOT need to have extensive hockey knowledge to be a valuable and contributing member - simply send in your nomination today!

In addition to this, the Board of Directors is also looking for individuals with professional skills and qualifications such as marketing experience, graphic design experience, IT and website design experience, a lawyer or law clerk and a CPA or CA to assist with our Financials. All nominees must be a member in good standing.  The LD Board of Directors has the right to refuse any member who is deemed not in good standing.

Nominations: Nominations are open September 15 and should be forwarded via email to the BOTH the President, Mark Hannam, [email protected] and the Secretary, Claudia Santagapita-Speiran at [email protected] no later than Sunday September 24, 2023 at 11:59pm

Proxies: Proxies will be available starting Friday September 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. and be available until Wednesday September 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. To request a proxy, you must e-mail the Registrar. No proxy requests will be accepted after Wednesday September 20, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. It is the responsibility of the member requesting the proxy to ensure that the original signed proxy form by the member is received by the Registrar no later than 6:00pm on Thursday September 21, 2023.
