LDGHA Open Board Position: TREASURER (this position needs to be filled immediately)
The LDGHA Board is looking for a new Treasurer for the 2024/2025 hockey season. This is a 2-year appointment, and the role is a member of the LDGHA Board’s Executive.
The Treasurer works collaboratively with the President and executive to support the Board in achieving its fiduciary responsibilities. The Treasurer will also be the primary liaison between the outside hired bookkeeping firm and the LDGHA.
At last years AGM, held on October 3, 2023, the LDGHA Board of Directors identified a gap in the Treasurer's role pertaining to a lack of professional designations of those volunteering to be on the London Devilettes Board of Directors in this capacity.
To address this gap, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to open up the position of Treasurer to Non-Member volunteers with a professional designation of CA or CPA.
The Treasurer position is now the ONLY LDGHA Board position open to Non-Members.
This role is busy from May to September, assisting teams in establishing budgets and working closely with the Registrar, ensuring registration fees are paid in full.
