Notice of Annual General Meeting
In accordance with Section 10.01 of the LDGHA By-Laws, members of the London Devilettes Girls Hockey Association are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on:
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., Kinsmen Arena, London ON.

AGM Meeting Business

The business transacted at the Annual Meeting shall include:

  1. Receipt of the agenda

  2. Receipt and approval of the minutes of the previous annual and subsequent special meetings

  3. Consideration of the financial statements

  4. Report of the auditor or person who has been appointed to conduct a review engagement

  5. Reappointment or new appointment of the auditor or person to conduct a review engagement for the coming year

  6. Report of the President and Executive members

  7. Election of Directors

  8. Such other or special business as may be set out in the notice of meeting

Please note: No other item of business shall be included on the agenda for the Annual Meeting unless a Member’s proposal has been submitted by email to Joanne Spylo, President at [email protected], no later than Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., in accordance with the Act. This ensures that any proposed new business can be included in the official notice of meeting.

2025 LDGHA Executive and Board Director Positions

The LDGHA Board of Directors is looking for professional, enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for girls’ hockey! You do not need to have extensive hockey knowledge to make a meaningful contribution—just an interest in supporting our association and its players.

We are especially seeking individuals with professional skills and qualifications in areas such as:

  • Marketing and communications

  • Graphic design

  • IT and website management

  • Legal (lawyer or law clerk)

  • Financial/accounting (CPA or CA)

Director of Marketing, Sponsorships & Special Events (Volunteer Position)

Position Summary: Responsible for promoting the association, building community partnerships, and planning engaging events that celebrate and support our players.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies

  • Lead sponsorship outreach and relationships

  • Plan and oversee fundraising and community events

  • Design digital and print communications

  • Maintain brand consistency across platforms

Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (Volunteer Position)
Position Summary: Leads initiatives to ensure that the LDGHA is welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for all players and families.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion inclusivity and accessibility

  • Develop and implement DEI policies and initiatives

  • Provide training and resources to coaches, parents, and board members

  • Collaborate with community partners

Intermediate House League Director (Volunteer Position)
Position Summary: Provides oversight and leadership for the Intermediate House League division (U15 and below, or as defined by the association).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and support house league convenors

  • Oversee team formation and balancing

  • Promote a positive, development-focused environment

  • Coordinate schedules with convenors and the ice scheduler

Senior House League Director (Volunteer Position)
Position Summary: Provides leadership for the Senior House League division (U15/U18 and above, or as defined by the association).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide convenors

  • Facilitate team formation and fairness

  • Promote skill development, sportsmanship, and community spirit

  • Address escalated concerns beyond the convenor level
