Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-ice and off-ice team activities including practices, games, tournaments, and team events.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive seasonal plan focused on skill development, systems, and team culture.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to athletes, promoting growth, confidence, and a competitive mindset.
• Collaborate with assistant coaches, trainers, and team staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-performance environment.
• Communicate effectively with players, families, and association leadership.
• Participate in league meetings, coaching clinics, and professional development as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• NCCP High Performance 1 (or currently enrolled/in progress/willingness to obtain) – required for AA/AAA levels.
• Demonstrated coaching experience at the AA/AAA or high-performance level.
• Strong knowledge of female athlete development models (e.g., Hockey Canada’s LTAD model).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, athlete-centered team culture.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Screening and Respect in Sport certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Assets

• Playing experience at a competitive or elite level.
• Prior Hockey Canada or OWHA coaching experience.
• Experience coaching female athletes, 13+.
• Ability to mentor assistant coaches and promote collaboration across the staff team.

Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed by the London Devilettes External Coach Selection Panel, a group of experienced hockey professionals who will conduct structured interviews and reference checks. Recommendations will then be provided to the Board for final selection.
