Hello Parents,
Players & Volunteers,
We're Ken
Van de Haar and Trent Fieldhouse, and together, we'll be your U22 House League Co-Convenors
for the 2024/2025 season.
Whether you’re returning or new to the Devilettes,
we’re excited to have you on board for what’s sure to be a great hockey season!
We will
begin our Evaluation sessions on Sunday, September 29th at the Western Fair
Arena, so mark your calendars!
Key Dates & Ice Times for Assessments:
- Assessment #1: Sunday, Sept 29 at 730pm and 830pm
- Assessment #2: Tuesday, Oct 1 at 8pm and 9pm
- Assessment #3: Sunday, Oct 6 at 730pm and 830pm
In addition, we will have the ice on Thursday Oct 3, at 9pm at Argyle Arena for 1 hour and this will just be a fun, scrimmage game. This is optional and not part of the evaluations.
*We’ll send out an email shortly with information on when your athlete’s actual assessment time is for these sessions*
Regular Season Ice Times:
- Sundays, 730pm & 830pm @ Western Fair Arena
- Tuesdays: 8pm & 9pm @ Argyle Arena
- Thursdays: 8pm @ Argyle Arena
We’ll be using the assessments to create well-balanced teams, so please encourage your athlete to do their best. Once our final registration list is complete, we’ll send out an assessment reminder with your athlete’s specific ice time.
After the third session on Sunday, October 6th, teams will be assembled, and your head coach will be in touch. We’ll post the schedule for the first month of the season soon afterwards.
A Few Quick Requests:
- Preferred Position: Let us know your preferred position (s) when you receive your Evaluation jersey, we will confirm the position (s) that you play.
- Assessment Jerseys: Players will get their jerseys before the first assessment. Please make sure they hold onto these for each session, as they’ll be evaluated by jersey color and number. *The assessment jerseys must be returned*
- Bench/Dressing Room Moms and Trainers: We need moms to volunteer for each of our four teams! Under the policy of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA), 2 rostered Dressing Room Moms (DRMs) must be in the dressing rooms with players at all times. However, we would ideally like to have 3 on each team in the event someone can’t make it to a game or practice. We also require Bench Moms and a Trainer for each team. If you are interested in fulfilling one of these roles, please respond to this email and let us know. Keep in mind you will require a valid Vulnerable Sector Check through the London Police and complete The Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders. Trainers will have to complete an additional certification as well. Each of these links is provided below.

When you arrive at the rink for your athlete’s first assessment, we will have a table set up where we will hand out the jerseys. We know you’ve got a lot going on, but please do your best to arrive at least 25-35 minutes prior to your first assessment as we are juggling about 85 players and we’ll want to keep things running on time.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic season ahead and can’t wait to see everyone on the ice for an exciting 2024/2025 season of Devilettes hockey!
Let’s play some hockey!
