Hey! Thanks for stopping by the Coach & Volunteer Information page. We're guessing you're here because you're interested in coaching or volunteering in some way with the London Devilettes in our house league division.
Well, thank you in advance for your dedication and commitment to helping us provide our young athletes with the best possible experience while having fun playing hockey and being part of a team.
Please use this page as your one-stop resource for all the information you will need for coaching and volunteering with us.
There's alot of information that will come your way at the beginning of the season and it can feel a bit overwhelming-- so this page is designed to make things as easy as possible for you.
If you've coached or volunteered in minor hockey before, you may already have some of your requirements and credentials in place, however, this is a great place to start if you need to update anything.
If you're just starting out as a coach or volunteer, these are the essential steps you need to follow:
Step 1
The very first step for coaching girls’ hockey under the OWHA is to create or confirm your Spordle account and obtain your Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) number.
Please refer to this handy step-by-step guide from the OWHA
Step 2
Create an account on the LDGHA RAMP page and register as a Coach/Staff member
Step 3
Submit your request for a VSC Police check (Vulnerable Sector Check)
Step 4
Once you receive the results of your police check, upload it to the Ontario Screening Submission Portal and sign the declaration on that page.
Step 5
Complete the mandatory Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification
Step 6
Complete the mandatory Gender Expression & Identity training
Step 7
Sign up for clinics to obtain the required Coaching certifications under the OWHA or Trainer Certifications
-
If you are applying to be a head coach, assistant coach, or trainer, the following certifications are required:

Along with Coaching, some of our other volunteer positions include Dressing Room Monitors, Bench Monitors, Trainers, and Team Managers.
If you are considering one of these positions, you will have to have all the same requirements as the coaches, with the exception of the coaching certifications. (Follow steps 1 thru 6 listed above).
The London Devilettes is run entirely by volunteers and we're extremely grateful for your support and time.
