Welcome to Peewee A Minor (2005)! Tryouts start on Sunday, April 24th. If your daughter has been released from the AA tryouts, and is born in 2005, I am excited to have her join us for tryouts. Please continue to check the website as I will update on the tryout groupings as we get closer to the 24th.
Selections for the team are to be made with the assistance of current coaches within the organization at other age levels, as well as independent evaluators that have no association with the team or any of their players. These individuals will help to make the final decision.
At this level skill development and creating a knowledge and passion for the game remain key. By following the Hockey Canada guidelines for skill to system coaching, my goal is to create a competitive and fun environment. The end result being the girls coming to the rink every practice and game with their best effort. The staff will focus on developing the players' skills to get them to the Next Level. Please be at the rink 30 – 45 minutes prior to your assigned time. You must sign your daughter in at the table, receive a room and jersey number and take an information sheet. Only females will be allowed in the dressing rooms.
Reminders:
1 – Bring your own water bottle
2 – All who played in an OWHA association other than the Devilettes in their last year MUST have a permission to skate (PTS) from that association handed in at the registration table prior to taking the ice at each levels first tryout. Those who played boys hockey last year do not need a form.
3 – Due to numbers, cuts will may be made after the first skate. Please refer to the web site for updates.
