2017/18 Novice A Tryouts
Welcome to 2017/18 Novice A!

Tryouts start on Saturday, August 19th.  See team calendar for location, dates, and times.  Please continue to check the team website for any changes leading up to Saturday, August 19th.

Selections for the team are to be made with the assistance of current coaches within the organization at other age levels, as well as independent evaluators who have hockey coaching experience but have no association with the team or any of their players.  These individuals will help to make the final decision through an unbiased evaluation system.

By following the Hockey Canada guidelines for skill to system coaching, my goal is to create a competitive and fun environment.  I anticipate that the girls will come to the rink every practice and game with their best effort.  The coaching staff (to be decided, and announced after tryouts)will focus on developing the players' skills while teaching them the key aspects of the game and also implementing some off ice preparation methods.  We will be having a mandatory parent meeting within days of the on ice tryouts commencing.

Please be at the rink 30 minutes prior to ice time.   You must sign your daughter in at the table, receive a room and jersey number, and take an information sheet.  Only females will be allowed in the dressing rooms.

Reminders:
1 - You daughter must be registered with the London Devilettes, and appear on the tryout list in order to tryout.
2 – Your daughter will need to bring their own water bottle.
3 – All who played woth a different OWHA association other than the Devilettes in their last year, MUST have a permission to skate (PTS) from that association handed in at the registration table prior to taking the ice at each levels first tryout.  Those who played in other leagues last year do not need a form.

Bernies Bar and Grill
We would like to thank our valued customers for their past and continued support. Since our humble beginning in 1989 as Spindle’s Restaurant (renamed to Cherry B’s in 1990 and Bernie’s Bar & Grill in 1993), we have worked hard to meet and surpass our customer expectations. Bernie’s has multiplied to two locations. The concept of a family oriented restaurant with a sectioned sports bar ambiance was well received at the original location in byron, therefore adding a second location on Wonderland Rd. North at Sherwood Forest Mall. Each location is an exhibition of state of the art dining fun, offering fabulous tasting foods made from high quality products and original recipes that can only be concocted by a passionate restaurant entrepreneur with decades of experience in the industry.

Subway
Back in 1965, Fred DeLuca set out to fulfill his dream of becoming a medical doctor. Searching for a way to help pay for his education, a family friend suggested he open a submarine sandwich shop. With a loan of $1,000, the friend—Dr. Peter Buck—offered to become Fred’s partner, and a business relationship was forged that would change the landscape of the fast food industry. The first store was opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut in August, 1965. Then, they set a goal of having 32 stores opened in 10 years. Fred soon learned the basics of running a business, as well as the importance of serving a well-made, high quality product, providing excellent customer service, keeping operating costs low and finding great locations. These early lessons continue to serve as the foundation for successful SUBWAY restaurants around the world.
