Welcome to Midget A Devilette Hockey
As you are all aware, this is a crazy time of year for both parents and players, as they try to secure a spot on a team appropriate for them. Best of luck to all!
If Junior or Midget AA wasn't in your cards then welcome to Midget A hockey.
As you are aware the "A" program has been very successful the past few seasons and I hope to continue that by selecting a group of players eager to learn, compete, have success and fun!
THE COACH
I have a passion for the game, was born wearing hockey equipment! Been involved as a player, coach and parent since the age of four.
As a player: from age 4-20 Rep & Jr.
As a coach: this will be my 15th year at all levels from Tyke-Midget.
As a parent: from when my first started until the last finishes.
I love players with speed, can think outside the box and are driven to succeed!
I've had the privilege to work with "Quantum Speed" Edmonton, Alberta and Liane Davis from Regina Sask. Both are well known skating instructors that work with NHL players and top Jrs.
I consider myself "old school" but with new ideas. In other words, you can accomplish whatever goals you have, as long as the commitment and work ethic is there. Most of all, I'll treat you with respect.
THE PLAYER
You are fine playing on the team and level that selected you, nothing more or less.
You have a passion for the game.
You have goals and want to achieve them.
You work harder than everyone else.
You are a team player.
You get along with and respect your teammates and coaches.
You have their back.
You are an above average skater.
You are "coach-able"-can think outside the box and want to get out of the "comfort zone".
You know an assist is as good as a goal.
You leave the drama at the door.
You show up for the game/practice with enthusiasm and a smile on your face.
Lastly, you are a Devilette and proud to be one.
