Introduction/Tryouts
Welcome to Atom A Tryouts!  My Name is Todd Linton and I will be Head Coach for the 2019/20 hockey season.   I’ve been coaching for the past 3 years.  As a player, I grew up playing AAA in northern Ontario, followed by Junior and ending with the Varsity Men’s Hockey team at Western.  To this day, my closest friends are former teammates.

Selection for the team will be made with assistance of other coaches affiliated with LDGHA, as well as independent evaluators who have hockey coaching experience but no association with the team or any of the players trying out.  These individuals will help to make the final decision through an unbiased evaluation process.  The coaching staff will be named following the selection of the team.

My goal for the season is to create a team culture that fosters individual player and systems development in-line with the principles of both the LDGHA and Hockey Canada organizations.  In addition, together we will learn how to apply each individual skill set towards the development of a high performance team.  An emphasis will be placed on skating, improving overall hockey knowledge and fostering a life-long passion for the game.

Tryout details: Dates and times are posted on the LDGHA website, further information to come based on the number of registrations.

-Players must be registered in order to attend tryouts.
-All OWHA players who did not play for the LDGHA last year and are trying out this year must register online through Quickenrollment and obtain a Permission to Skate(PTS) form from the most recent OWHA association.
-LDGHA must receive this PTS form before tryouts commence.  This form must be given to me the first tryout attended.  Under no circumstances will a player be allowed on the ice for tryouts without a PTS form.
-Copies of the PTS forms will only be accepted after online registration is complete.

I Look forward to an exciting season!   See you at the rink.

Todd
