This past weekend, the London Devilettes U9B team traveled to Toronto to compete in the Leaside tournament, and they certainly made their mark.
From the first puck drop, the team showcased their skill, determination, and teamwork, going an impressive 4-0 in round-robin play. With a dominant 45 goals for and only 2 against, they proved they were a force to be reckoned with.
As the competition heated up in the semifinals, the Devilettes met a very strong opponent and battled hard in a tightly contested game. Despite their best efforts, they came up short with a 4-2 loss, ending their tournament run. While the result wasn’t what they had hoped for, the team showed incredible heart, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
Beyond the rink, the Devilettes made memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it was fun in the pool, intense mini sticks battles, or team meals filled with laughter, the bond between these young athletes grew even stronger.
The Devilettes left Toronto with heads held high, proud of their accomplishments and ready for the next challenge. Congratulations to the team on an outstanding tournament!
