U11 BB Tryouts
Coach Jeff Bushell here. I am very pleased to be coaching the U11 BB team for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. Next season will be my 5th year in the Devilette organization and my 18th year coaching competitive sports. I like to encourage teams that I am involved in to have fun by improving hockey skills, demonstrating good character, and building lasting relationships.

Tryout information for the U11 BB team will be posted here as needed and as promptly as possible (groupings, logistics, and times).

As we navigate the tryouts with our young athletes please keep the following information at the forefront of our minds: evaluators are looking for athletes that listen and follow instruction, compete, and execute desired hockey skills. Also, in order to help your athlete put their best foot forward in tryouts encourage your athlete to get good sleeps, eat healthy, and be on time.

Groupings for the all of the "BB" tryouts will be posted on afternoon prior to tryout. If your player has been released from "A" tryouts, we assume and hope they will continue with the Devilettes "BB" tryouts. If you do not plan to attend these tryouts, please inform me.

Please make sure to register at the front desk setup prior to your athlete's tryout. Players will be issued a specific tryout jersey before each skate—please ensure you return the jersey after each session. Goalies should continue to wear the same jersey used in previous tryout sessions. Reminder: No males are permitted in the dressing rooms. If you are coming from another female hockey association, ensure Permission to Skate forms (PTS) are emailed to [email protected]. Be ready to present your PTS at the first tryout. Your player will NOT be allowed on the ice for tryouts without their Permission to Skate (PTS) form—no exceptions.

I will be posting "call backs/selections" after each tryout session on this team webpage. I will try to do so by 10:00PM the night of the tryout. If your name appears on the call-back list, you are invited back to the next tryout session. If your name does not appear on the call-back list, we encourage you to continue with the Devilettes tryout process with the U11 "B" team — please refer to the U11 "B" webpage for specific details.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions at [email protected]

Please take care and good luck in tryouts,
Jeff Bushell.

Tim Hortons Timbits Hockey Program-THE FIRST GOAL IS HAVING FUN.:
The Timbits Hockey and Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player. Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Canadian Hockey League (CHL), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) games to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
