Undefeated in Smashville
Congratulations to the U18AA Devilettes who went undefeated in five games in Smashville!
These athletes had an incredible weekend, and were able to take in some true Nashville culture in their cowboy hats and boots. Chauffered by the amazing JAY, they saw the sights on Broadway, felt the vibe and the hype of college football in the USA as the streets flooded with the orange of the University of Tennesse Volunteers, and got to eat some traditional Nashville bbq.
On the hockey side of their trip, the Devs were undefeated in five games, facing some good competition against North Carolina, Rochester and Alaska in the round robin and semi finals. They played a great gold medal game against the Brantford Ice Cats, finishing with a 3-0 victory to take home the gold, a Smashville hat, and the guitar trophy!!!
Systems came together, positive mindsets kept the focus, and some great team (and family) bonding time on a long bus ride helped to solidify the step forward that these amazing athletes are taking as they head into another tournament weekend and the next half of their season.
