Peewee (London Devilettes)

30th Annual Tournament
Hello parents, athletes, and coaches,

I would like welcome everyone to the 2019/2020 London Devilettes Peewee House League season. My name is Shannon Vanderydt and I will be the Peewee House League convenor this year.  For those returning, welcome back, and for those new to the league, we are glad to have you here joining us. We are looking forward to a great season of fun, friendships and growth.

We have 2 evaluation sessions scheduled for our peewee house league girls this year. Teams will be drafted following the 2nd evaluation session and you will hear from the head coach of your team shortly after the team draft. We are still finalizing the numbers and hope to have enough girls to have 6 teams. The girls will be broken down into 3 groups, an email will be sent out shortly

Session 1, Saturday September 21st at London Sports Park
Ice time #1 1:15 – 2:05
Ice time #2 2:15 – 3:05
Ice time #3 3:15 – 4:05

Session 2, Saturday September 28th at London Sports Park
Ice time #1 2:30 – 3:20
Ice time #2 3:30 – 4:20
Ice time #3 4:30 – 5:20

I am in need of a few on-ice volunteers to help with the evaluation drills. All you need is a helmet, gloves, stick and skates to help the girls on the ice. This will allow the coaches to watch off ice and record their evaluation results. This is a great opportunity to meet the coaches! Please email me if you can help out.

Evaluation process info:

1.        The assessors will evaluate by jersey colour and number so it is vital that your athlete keeps the same jersey for all evaluation sessions. Jerseys will be collected at the end of your last evaluation session. The teams will be established using the evaluation results. To ensure a balanced set of teams, it is important that your athlete do their best at the evaluations so the teams can be created with accurate information. Please encourage your athlete to do their best at the evaluation sessions.

2.       Please attend your assigned ice time session. With almost 90 athletes to organize, it is impossible to shuffle athletes around to accommodate everyone's special requests and personal schedules. If you have a conflict for a critical item please email me and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

3.       When you arrive at arena for your first evaluation session, a table will be set up in the foyer with an attendant handing out assigned jerseys. Please go to this table to collect your athlete’s jersey when you arrive at the arena for the first evaluation session. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your athlete’s assigned evaluation session start time.

Regular Season Information

Regular season ice times will begin Thursday Oct. 3rd. The ice times will vary week to week, please check the website each week to verify your ice times. Changes to ice times do occur occasionally so please check the web site for current details. I will post the schedule till December initially and update the schedule as the season progresses.

Practices will be Thursdays 6:00pm – 9:00pm @ Argyle Arena
Games will be Saturdays 3:00pm – 5:00pm @ Kinsmen Arena

Reminder that men are not permitted in the dressing rooms while the girls are getting ready Please review the house league coaches and parents code of conduct and let me know if there are ever any questions

All photos are at Stronach arena!

The photographers move through a lot of people in a very short period of time.

They are very efficient and can be ahead of schedule so it is best for a team to be ready to go at their scheduled time.

Please fill out the order form and pay BEFORE lining up. Read More

Thank-you to all the parents who brought the girls out for the evaluations. The draft has been completed and the coaches and assistants did their best to accommodate all requests.

We have 6 great coaches and their helpers are equally as great. I would encourage you to ask your coach how you can help your daughters team as there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

You will be hearing from your coaches soon and a schedule will be posted shortly as we start on ice this Thursday (October 3).

Revised and updated evaluations have been emailed out. If you have not received an email please let me know ASAP [email protected]

We have enough girls registered for 6 teams, but are still short a few head coaches.
We are also short 2 goalies, if your daughter is interested in playing goalie please let me know.

We are looking forward to a great season
