Seven...... that was the number of times the London minors would face the #2 seed in the province...... The London Peewee A majors.
Seven...... and on the eve of the seventh game with their home time rivals, the minor squad was poised to chop wood and carry water!!!!!!! and that is exactly what they did, right to the final buzzer!!!!!
Although the scoreboard would read 3-0 it was a tight, physical back and forth game. All the girls from both sides battling until the very end.
The coaching staff is extremely happy with the progress the girls have made since January as it was displayed on Friday night. Showing sportsmanship and gratitude to their parents, opponents and the organization.
Both teams met at centre ice after the game and raised their sticks in acknowledgment of the shared journey and for the love of the game. It was a great moment for everyone!
Great job girls!!!!!! Everyone is proud of you!
