Peewee AA-602, U13, 2018-2019 (London Devilettes)

As the 602 gets packed for championship weekend we want to give a big shout out to all our sponsors for helping to make our season possible!! The grandparents, aunts,uncles and sisters that took turns driving us to games and practices!! We would also like to thank Ted Brown and the JR Devilettes for letting us use their room, equipment and offering up advice!! The 602 is on their way to Champions Weekend at the end of March!!!! The girls put out Cambridge in 3 games in the 1st round of playoffs. In the 2nd round of playoffs we were up against Wilmot, the girls wowed their parents with some great hockey and ended the series in 2 games to move onto Champions!  This is what they have worked all season for! Congratulations Girls! 

The 602 was in Sarnia this past weekend where they met the Bluewater Hawks, Oakville Hornets  Brampton Canadettes, and  Little Ceasars in the round robin. The girls won all 4 games, winning - (3 -1), (2-1), (3-1) and (4-1) respectively.  With the win against Brampton on Sat am, the girls clinched their spot in the gold medal game.  Winning against Little Ceasars was icing on the cake! We met the Oakville Hornets on Sunday morning, where our amazing fore checking, defence and a number of very key saves led us to a 3-0 victory to take GOLD! The PeeWee AA team kicked off 2019 with donating 45 lbs of food and volunteering at the London Food Bank.  With discipline and care, they verified, organized, and sorted donated goods at lightening speed.  We thank Mike and the London Food Bank for welcoming our team and giving us the opportunity to help out and to think of others in need.   We thank the girls for being responsible and respectful throughout the process.  What a great start to 2019! 

The 602 and the Waterloo Ravens demonstrated their best side as they shared a moment of silence on the ice together prior to their scheduled game Sunday night.   Standing side by side the girls showed their respect for the great men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our country. Fantastic Character Girls!!
